If anyone is around and has no junior to run with, please come along and support theis race. I could do with a few pairs of hands as well to helpwith the marshalling.

Houseman 100 Schedule 28th/29th May 2011

This is my anticipated schedule based on 113% of my recce times to achieve an overall target of 29 hours:

Pontesbury Potter

Anyone doing this on Saturday??

We could maybe arrange to meet up before / after or start at similar times. I'm just looking to get my long run in and raise a few quid for Severn Hospice. If you're not going, offers of sponsorship would be welcome.

Jim

LE JOG

In this, the year I became 40, I've decided I should do something significant. I've decided that I'm going to have a crack at Land's End to John O'Groats on my bike. I've got a 10 day schedule planned, so I won't be breaking any records, but I'll be doing about 90 miles a day.
I'm being supported by Rachael (transport and logistics) and being joined at the Scottish border by Keith and Pauline. Keith is going to cycle with me across Scotland.

Houseman 100

Having abandoned my 720 mile challenge after some hefty hints from my body (but not until I'd done 406 miles) my attention has turned to the Houseman 100 at the end of May.

My plan is to re-build my fitness between now and April then recce the whole route in the correct order in five hits on consecutive weekends, have a week off, then do it!

Mercia Dinner

Trust everyone had a great time at the Mercia Do on Friday, some of the pictures Alistair took on the evening can be view at on his Pacasa Album, Click here for access

Wrekins Orienteers Choc-O on the Mynd - 30/12/2010

Brian and Lawrie, Wrekin Orienteers Choc-O

Did the Wrekin orienteers Long O course from Womerton today. Made a nice morning out on the Mynd despite poor visibility. There's a full write up on my blog at: http://midlands-fell.blogspot.com/2010/12/wrekin-orienteers-choc-o-30122...

I've attached a pic of Brian Clough of Church Stretton and former Mercia member Lawrie Jones who I met at CP5.

Do give this route a go - there are some interesting route choices and some good runnable bits too. Further details are at: http://www.wrekinorienteers.co.uk/forms/Choc10.pdf

Cheers - Jim
