There are pictures from Gwynfor and myself of the race on my site...
And hopefully there should soon be a link to Pete Douglas' video of the race....
I happened to be in Devon the weekend of the Exe to Axe race, so why not do it? Its advertised as 20 miles with 4,000 feet of ascent. How hard can a race in Devon be?
Some pictures from today's Llantysilio Mountain Race can be found on my site, the address as usual is:-
There are some more pictures and a video of the race on Pete Douglas' site
Yiannis Tridimas and I completed this at the weekend, in 22:07 and 20:45 respectively. Wayne Percival did a great job on roadside support - low key but efficient. I've been looking at it on and off over the years: a bit of reccying with Chris Taylor; also ran most of it over 2 days a couple of years ago with David Waide who knows the route intimately. I've regarded it as the easiest of the classic 24h challenges, which I guess it is, but I found it pretty hard, due to the distance and the amount of levelish running.
There are some pictures of this year's race now up on my site:-
They were taken just off the summit of Moel Famau, a very cold summit......
Myth has it that whatever time you do on the Stretton Skyline race can be repeated in a marathon. Well, I decided to test this myth and entered the ballot for the London Marathon. I got in! I'm runner number 10044. My target time is 3h 24m (that's 8min/mile, which for an old fart like me is going to be tough).
There are some pictures of this race up on my site:-
I was just below the summit of Aran Fawddwy, having struggled to the summit itself (one is a little unfit to put it politely) I moved off to position myself just below the start of the rocks/scree up to the summit.
Spent a bit of time with the camera at the weekend; accordingly the cloud was low !http://www.flickr.com/photos/8589216...7614316201747/ Sat a.m. met Alan and Lawrie at Pont Fronwydd; sunny drive up to Bala but that was the end of the sunshine for the day. <break>
