I'm sure like me, many of you watched in horror at the weekend as The OMM and Fell Running in general hit news head lines. I have to say I've spent a hour or two reading the press coverage and the various web running forums, it would appear that we became a victim of some over reporting and sensationalism to say the least.

The UKA British Hill and Fell Running Championships otherwise known to you and me as the FRA Relays were held on Sunday 19th October amidst the beautiful hills of the Clwydian Range in North Wales, the day was not too cold but a brisk wind kept all the runners on their toes, and the Team Tent was very welcome. Yesterdays great performance from Tom Owens at the Relays was by the way of a Swan Song, Tom has been living and working in Glasgow for some time now and has decided that the time has come to relocate his club ties, we really wish him well and thank him for the time and effort he has put in running as part of the senior men's team on many notable occasions, you will be missed Tom and we look forward to seeing you around at races and hearing news of your future performances.
