Training groups meet on the Longmynd and on the Wrekin on Thursday nights. The venue for the Longmynd group is posted on here each week, the Wrekin group meets at the gate at the bottom of the main path at Forest Glen at 19:15. There is an informal social run on a Tuesday night from Church Stretton (Little Stretton first Tuesday of the month) - info HERE.

When filling an entry form for a race can you make sure your name is written very clearly in exactly the same way for every race (e.g. always Andy and not sometimes Andrew). Mistakes hard to correct afterwards as the results information is published in many places (often within hours of the race finishing).

Time to get back to the Thursday hill sessions after a short hiatus - 7pm at the cattle grid in Carding Mill valley.
The “Batch” is such a beautiful valley in the Long Mynd, and at the start of the Summer warmer weather, it never fails to be a popular run of the summer series. 121 runners.
Duncan Birtwistle from Telford AC came in 1st in a fast time of 26min 2 sec, followed just 5 seconds later by Callum Mitchelmore from Shrewsbury AC. Dom Jones from Mercia in 26:38. How they get round that fast I don’t know! Not quiet as fast as Tim Davies, record holder from 2010 with 25:03.
