CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS *** new - 2017 races just added ***

The rules and list of events for the 2017 club champs are HERE

Training groups meet on the Longmynd and on the Wrekin on Thursday nights. The Longmynd group venue is posted here each week; the Wrekin group meets at the gate at the bottom of the main path at Forest Glen at 19:15. There is an informal social run on a Tuesday night from Church / Little Stretton - info HERE.

We have our own mini-Paddy Buckley (takes 3-6 hours)! For info on the Gill Harris Long Mynd Tops Challenge Click Here. The records were updated 20/01/2013, click here to see details of completed rounds.

Please send results to, preferably as a spreadsheet, they will then be posted on this site.

When filling an entry form for a race make sure your name is written very clearly and exactly the same for every race (e.g. always Andy and not sometimes Andrew). Mistakes are hard to correct as the results are published in many places (usually shortly after the race).

Results for today's Mynd Dragon fell race are available here.

Mercia Club Champs 2017

Here are the races and rules for 2017.

There are lots of races to chose from including some fell-y ultras and some great away races, so why not get stuck in. You only need to do six races to have a full series (four for juniors and V60s and three for V70s).

Age group is determined by your age on 1st January.

Please try to help Bradley who keeps all the stats by using the same name throughout the year, writing it clearly, entering as a member of Mercia Fell Runners team/club when there is the option and letting him know of any errors / missing results etc. as soon as you can.

Thursday Night Training

This week it's a choice of Gogbatch at 19:00 with me (while Tom gets his knee sorted), or the Wrekin gate (near the main car park) with Coach James at 19:15.

Do try to make it to one of these sessions sometime - it might be of some help and they are also actually fun (very type 2 fun, but fun none the less).

Positive Feedback

For all the helpers, marshals, registration team etc. on Saturday, below are some comments from emails received in the last day or so. Thank you all so very much - no-one person can put this kind of thing on without a huge amount of help...
