Tonight's race was full of the usual mystery, fun and suprises, after a wet day the clouds rolled back and the sun came out, we had 67 starters to what is proving to be a ever popular race, John Bowie and Lauren Morley both of the newly formed Trismart club won the Mens and Ladies race respectively in the RP race, but it was the Shroppy Handicap that was the main event. As they say with this type of event it not until the last man finishes that you know who has won, and when everyone was in and the sums had been done Mark Wilkinson of Shropshire Shufflers was way out front, having turned up at the very last minute, Mark must have run out of his socks beating is estimated time by 20minutes, the prize list was full of names not normally seen up the front of the race. Full results from both Rodneys Pillar race and adjusted results for the Shroppy handicap can be viewed on the results pages,
Tonights race also celebrated the first anniversary of Alistair Tye photographing Shropshire Fell Races, his pictures can be viewed as usual at www.fellrunningpictures.co.uk. I'm sure you will all agree, Alistairs efforts add real value to all our races and is well appreciated, Thank You Alistair
