After the race there will be a cake sale in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. A wonderful range of cakes will be on offer, all homemade and delicious, costing between 50p and £1.
Cystic Fibrosis is a degenerative condition which affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food. There is currently no cure for Cystic Fibrosis but The CF Trust has raised £millions to fund research to find effective treatments which alleviate the symptoms of CF, improve the quality and life expectancy of sufferers.
