ARE YOU (WO)MAN ENOUGH!       The Longmynd Valleys Race has long been known as a classic and gritty race, but put it together with the Titterstone Clee Race the day before and a challenging weekend is promised, a few years ago this weekend challenge was all the rage, the great and the good (and those clad in helly bottoms) were proud to have taken on this challenge.  Latterly the Valleys Race itself has taken centre stage but the Titterstone Clee Race has just carried on quietly in the background with its admirers returning year upon year, our friends from Springfields Striders bring a bus load every year and the Cambridge Harriers wouldn't miss it for the world.  Last year the Valleys was a Championship Race and we saw many notables charging up Titterstone Clee on a beautiful, crisp, sunny Saturday morning.  The Race Record had stood for 23 years, but on that day there were many after Ken Wests' famous record, Lloyd Taggart brought this race to life with a fabulous performance and left the locals breathless with his route choices and obviously they were good choices, he beat the record by just 38 secs! Is it time to lift the profile of the Titterstone Clee?  Are you as hard as the fell runners of yore? Are you? Can you do it and then run the Valleys race the day after, surely our fell runners of today have it in them to make this a festival of fellrunning on the highest level, do not be fooled, it might only be a short race but ask anyone who's done it and they will laugh when you say "for 3 miles it's not worth the bother".  Legends have been made at this race that are still talked about by those who have 'enjoyed'  it. Come and find out about a fell race where there are no frills, just like it used to be, middle of nowhere back to the middle of nowhere and the prize giving and a warm welcome in the lovliest old pub. Not only that, but a reward awaits those who do manage the two races, a special prize for all those who do the two races will be awarded at the Valleys Race the day after (and it's not a tee shirt this time).  Prove yourself, 'because your worth it'
