Preliminary Information
Wrekin Orienteers present the annual classic moorland and valley navigation challenge for orienteers, mountain marathon competitors, and off-road runners.
Start times from 10:00 to 12:00. Courses close at 15:30 (after which any competitors who have not reported to the finish will be considered lost and emergency steps put in place to search for them)
Map: 1:15,000 scale with 5m contour interval – updated and extended in 2012 by Pete Jones to cover the area from High Park (North) to Minton Batch (South).

This event also serves as a useful familiarisation day for those competing in the UK Athletics British Fell & Hill Running Relay Championships on 14 October.

Cost: £5.00 pre-entered / £6.00 on the day (Members of British Orienteering); £7.00 / £8.00 (others);
e dibber hire £1.00 (£30 payable if you lose it)
Parking: Near to Grid Ref SO 435 966 (be prepared to pay a small parking fee). Signs from the A49 at Leebotwood.
Safety: Whistles must be carried. Cagoules may be compulsory. Competitors take part at their own risk
