­­Provisional Date Start from Carding Mill Vallley (10 minute jog from registration). No safety pins. Event run in conjunction with the Titterstone Clee Race - prizes for the combined results. Part of the Shropshire Series.

2008 Final Details (under FRA rules) 

Please do not take cars into the Carding Mill Valley unless you want to pay the £2 charge for non NT members - the start and finish are only a 10 minute walk from registration. Please respect the privacy and property of the householders who live adjacent to the start/finish.

Please use the toilets at registration or the public toilets at the Carding Mill Valley Pavilion. Please do not water the grass up the valley; the future of the race depends on this! Anyone caught will be disqualified.­­

Retirement Procedure: You must report and surrender your race number to an official at the finish.

Safety: Make sure your number is clearly visible. Competitors must be aware of weather conditions. All competitors must carry windproof tops & bottoms, map compass & whistle. All competitors will be checked. Any competitor not carrying this equipment will be disqualified. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT AN EASY FELL RACE AND IS UNSUITABLE FOR NOVICE OR UNFIT FELL RUNNERS, PARTICULARLY IN FEBRUARY.

Out of Bounds: The Golf Course and the lane between Minton and Little Stretton are not to be used for the race route.

Check Points and Cut Off Times will be strictly enforced & you will be asked to retire.

There could be race officials at checkpoints 1,2,3,4,5,6 & 7 who will be taking your number. In the event of an unmanned check point there will be an orienteering flag and a punch. Please punch your number to prove you visited these controls - checks will be made at the finish. If you think you are likely to take more than three and half hours to get round there will be an earlier start at 10.30am, please let registration know if you wish to start at the earlier time.

First Aid: Available at the Finish and at checkpoint 3 Barristers Batch.

Changing and Showers: At the football pavilion near the club.

Coffee & Tea: available, free, in the social club after the race.

Prize Giving: 3.00pm in the social club.
