On the 25th anniversary of Mercia Fell Runners inception and as we approach the anniversary of the Long Mynd Valleys race, Nick Kingston, one of the clubs founders thought it fitting to devise a new fell running/walking challenge on the Long Mynd. Hence the Long Mynd Tops in tribute to our colleague Gill, who loved these hill.

Please note : The date of the Corndon Classic Race is not as advertised on this website.
The date of this race has been wrongly advertised as 14th November, this is incorrect and the race had already been run for this year. Apologies are offered to Paul Beeson for this oversite
Mercia Fellrunner Daniel Brazer has been putting in a few up's and downs in the biggest mountains Great Britain has to offer, the travelling, alone deserves a medal, Dan competed in all three classic races in England, Wales and Scotland, and when the results were combined from The Scafell Pike Race, Snowdon Fell Race and Ben Nevis he was second behind Mark McGoldrick of Wharfdale H with 261 point, the ladies title, Queen of The Mountains went to Lynne Clough of Chorley H.
Well done Dan, Great to see Mercia up there mixing it with the best.
