The aim of the club is to promote and organise 'fell' races in and around the West Midlands.

An outbreak of Phytophthora disease had been identified in Brocton Coppice which can affect many species of trees and shrubs. As it can be spread on footwear we would request that you ensure your race participants stick to footpaths and tracks at all times.

Mercia Championships 2008 (Final)

Andi Davies defied the odds to steal the Mercia Championships in the last race of the session, it had looked odds on that Tim Werrett would take the crown for the second time in three years after impressive form early in the session at The Wrekin Fell Race and The Long Mynd Valleys, with a solid run at The Roaches it looked like the title was his, Andi was about the only person who could catch him and lady luck must have been on Andi's side, most weekends you will find him playing football in the Welsh League, but Andi's team Welshpool did not play this week , so he had have fresh legs for

Mercia Club Championships 2008

With one more race to go, Tim Werrett looks odds on favorite to take the Mercia Club Championship for the second time in three years, following outstanding runs at The Wrekin Fell Race and The Long Mynd Valleys early in the season, Tim as left it to everyone else to do the work in trying to catch him up, Andi Davies is probably the best placed to try and bridge the gap, but that would require Andi to win the last race of the year, The Cardington Cracker, even then Tim would have to finish outside the top 5, Andi's brother Tim Davies also stands an outside chance of catching up, but his winn

A great total of 66 runners made the re-birth of this smashing 6 miler totally worthwhile .
Despite a drizzly start to the race the hard pull over the top of Corndon Hill from the start
at the Miners Arms soon warmed every one up. The day and the
views then simply got better and better.
